Staying fit should be fun, period. If you don’t know how to make it a fun experience, check out these 5 fun ways to do it:

1. The tread-mill is no longer your only option.

Try dance, zumba, or a yoga classes. All of them are great for your body, your strength, and losing excess weight.

2. Jumping Rope

Easy, cheap and you can do it anywhere. Rope jumping is my personal favorite, I have been doing it for the last 7 years and has worked miracles for me. When I started I couldn’t jump more than 10 seconds, now, I can jump 2 hours! Not to mention, the cardio benefits have helped me in other physical exercises, especially running which is another one of my favorites.

3. Running

This one is the cheapest and most beneficial for your health. While running, besides losing weight you, benefit from being out doors in the sunlight. You need the vitamin-D anyway especially when on average, Americans spend between 80 and 99% of their time indoors (view the statistics here).

4. Martial Arts

Can you defend yourself? If not, then you have a good reason to attend a martial arts class. There you’ll work up a sweat, no doubt. If you keep it up too, you’ll watch the extra pounds melt off. As a kid, I was a bit over weight so I started a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class and kept it up through high school all the way to now! In the class I made lots of cool friends and now I’m in the best shape of my life from continuing with it for so long.

5. Biking

Biking is a great cardio workout. It not only benefits your health, but benefits the environment too. By not traveling by car somewhere, you limit the polluting emissions our cars produce.
